1999 Club Contest The "Dodge Off" |
![]() |
| For several years, Bill Dart sponsored an in-house contest for the club. He chose the subject matter, and the club members got together at the December meeting to see who the winners would be. In 1999, the contest theme was Dodge cars and trucks, hence the name "Dodge Off". | ||
Here are a few of the entries, and in the upper left,
Brad Berchielli accepts his prize from Bill for the winning junior entry.
Jim McNamara built a hot '62 Dart, while the Challenger was built by
Theo Berchielli. And Tom Sheehy showed the club he likes to build
something besides fire and police vehicles with his '67 Coronet street machine. |

Here's Brad's junior class winning Super Bee. He's gonna be tough on the old guys if he
keeps at it. |
||
This is Jim Devine's Adult Street class winning '70
Challenger. Yes, that's a trusty 6-cylinder lurking under the hood. |
||
A pair of concept vehicles found their way to the contest tables.
Rick Hanmore is responsible for the yellow "Bubblehead", while the "stock" Copperhead came from
Vince Lobosco's workbench. |
||
Dan Marks took home the top prize in the Competition
class with this beautiful Challenger S/S. |
||
Tom Sheehy brought in this team of Dodge police
cruisers. |
||
Top dog in the Trucks/Light Commercial class was
Budd Viertel who built this beautiful '77 Dodge Monaco. |
